Engineering the widget SDK within Repute’s enterprise ecosystem.
We took on the widget SDK within Repute’s HR ecosystem, enabling enterprise partners to embed independently versioned widgets in their own platforms. The consulting scope also covered marketplace experiences, performance optimisation and the public website, within an ecosystem serving six enterprise HR providers and more than 45,000 employer organisations.
Scale, speed and adoption.
- Employer organisations reached
- 45,000+
- Reach of the Repute ecosystem supporting these integrations.
- Enterprise HR providers
- 6
- HR providers served by the Repute ecosystem.
- Increase in widget usage
- 20–1600%
- Varied by application; internally tracked, revenue-linked usage metric.
- Page load time
- 5s → 2.5s
- Critical rendering optimisations halved load times.
- Team output
- +30%
- Measured through velocity tracking after introducing scalable patterns.
- Weekly website visits
- +38%
- Google Analytics, following the marketing website launch.
Platform reach and reported engineering results. Widget usage varies by application; team output uses velocity tracking; website visits use Google Analytics.
Three connected workstreams.
A widget SDK that travels with the product
Architected a Webpack Module Federation SDK so client-authored widgets could load inside host HRMS platforms at runtime, without host redeployments.
- Independent widget versioning
- Shadow DOM style isolation
- Scoped Tailwind themes
- Per-tenant customisation
One marketplace, many enterprise brands
Led development of the customer-facing experience for a multi-tenant, white-labelled HRMS marketplace with role-aware authentication, analytics and responsive interfaces.
- Tenant-specific experiences
- Role-aware authentication
- Critical rendering optimisation
- Reusable engineering patterns
A marketing site built to perform
Rebuilt the company website in Next.js with Rive animations, responsive layouts and SEO optimisation. The delivered site achieved a 95+ Lighthouse score.
- Next.js website
- Rive animations
- Responsive design
- Performance and discoverability
Ship a widget. Extend the platform.
Build independently
Client-authored widgets are built and versioned as remote modules.
Load at runtime
Webpack Module Federation brings them into host HRMS platforms without host redeployments.
Keep every tenant distinct
Shadow DOM and scoped Tailwind themes isolate styles and support tenant-specific customisation.
